Friday, November 13

But how do we really know if it’s working? How do we track, defend, rationalize or prove that a network approach is the right approach for our project? And perhaps most importantly, how can we learn to do it better? Join Eli Malinsky as he reveals the findings of our recent research, acknowledges our challenges, and enlists your insight.

11. Diversity and Equity Leadership Institute
November 16-19
November 19-20 for Train the Trainer
Loyola House, Guelph, Ontario
Offered by Anima Leadership and the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, this is a highly interactive and experiential course grounded in adult pedagogy and layered with cutting-edge information from the fields of neuroscience, social psychology and bias research. By combining anti-racism with emotional intelligence and conflict resolution, a deeply holistic program has been developed that balances intellect with emotions, and internal factors with external forces.
The Diversity & Equity Leadership Institute will greatly assist participants in understanding the critical role of emotions in conflict that involves difference (race, gender, etc.). The learner will explore "blind spots" and emotional "triggers" that cause us to react and respond to issues, as individuals and organizations. The participants will become more effective in dealing with the conflict that emerges from issues of diversity and racism, and as a result be better equipped to work with diverse communities. The Anima/CRRF programme is a one-of-a-kind training process that has been offered at both national and international contexts and received exceptional evaluations.
