L’Atelier Quartz Crystal Votives
For over 20 years the alluring L’Atelier has been Rosedale’s go-to interiors boutique with a tasteful array of offerings from the vintage to the modern. Currently L’Atelier owner and designer, Youssef Hasbani’s most favoured pieces in the boutique are the exquisite Quartz Crystal Votives. Handcrafted in the US, the quartz is sourced from around the world, in particular from Brazil. With candle light, the crystal dances along the peaks and valleys of the votive. The mystery evoked by these votives provides a hint of the energy that Youssef hopes to capture in his contemporary Moroccan-inspired living space in the How do you live? feature exhibit at IDS 12. Jill Greaves Design
Interior Designer Jill Greaves sees a solution to every situation and an answer to every challenge. A master of merging the classic with the contemporary, Jill Greaves has applied her feminine yet bold aesthetic to both residential and commercial spaces both within Canada and in the US. A recent residential condo project addressed the ever increasing empty nester trend. Here, a spacious 4- bedroom house had to be boiled down to a compact condo along with an extensive and rich antique collection. A contemporary eclectic approach was achieved through mixing the old with the new; and contrasting straight lines with curvy historic pieces. The varied art collection was set against a backdrop of modern Scandinavian cabinetry, wood panels and soft washed floors. Up next in the new year for Jill Greaves Design: her first hospitality project — the opening of the luxurious Conrad New York Hotel. And if you can't get to New York anytime soon, experience a unique space created by Jill Greaves as part of IDS 12’s How do you live? A TAS Designbuild Feature presented by National Bank.
