Recognizing and Supporting Students At-Risk

June 5, 10:00am-12:00pm
Supervisors can feel helpless when faced with a graduate student who appears to be struggling. In this workshop, facilitators will present information to help you identify a student dealing with mental health or disability issues, and decide when and how to refer a student to the available resources. We will also consider strategies for continuing a productive academic relationship with a graduate student who may require accommodations.

Professor Rhonda Amsel (Department of Psychology) shares her experiences and motivation for incorporating various pedagogical strategies in a 400-student, first-year course.

Summer 2015 myCourses minor upgrade

A minor upgrade of the myCourses Learning Management System will take place on Monday, July 13, from 1 am to noon. During this time, myCourses will be completely unavailable to instructors and students. If you’re using myCourses this summer, please ensure you do not schedule any assignments or quizzes for that day. The upgrade will bring some minor improvements such as a simpler process to copy courses.

Dissemination of Course Evaluation Results

Course Evaluation results are available to the McGill community if a minimum response threshold is met and the instructor has not objected to access. The deadline to register a permission decision for the 2014-2015 academic year in Minerva is May 31, 2015.
